New Gift Annuity Rate Changes Effective January 1, 2020
Now is the time for prospective donors to take another look at gift annuities because payout rates are changing January 1, 2020.
Rates will decrease for all age levels for both single-life and two-life charitable gift annuities. The decrease in rates will be anywhere from 0.3% to 0.5%.

There are many benefits of a charitable gift annuity completed before January 1, 2020. Donors can:

- Obtain relief from taxes. Donors may be able to claim an income-tax charitable deduction, and each payment may be partly tax-free for their life expectancy.
