Pentera Webinar on Noncash Assets Features Ed Sandifer of Indianapolis Zoo

Pentera presents a Webinar on Oct. 17 about gifts of noncash assets featuring Ed Sandifer, planned and major gifts officer for the Indianapolis Zoo and a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.

Deal or Dilemma: Gifts of Noncash Assets will be presented from 1-2 p.m. ET on Oct. 17. The presentation will provide a fundamental overview of various noncash assets, their benefits, and their pitfalls. It will also explore the interrelated publications that have been issued by the Internal Revenue Service as guidance to the charity, the donor, and the donor's advisor. The Webinar will also examine a couple of case studies that highlight how gifts of noncash assets can be a great deal—or a real dilemma.

Ed Sandifer began his career in philanthropy in 1999 as director of planned giving at Marian College (now Marian University) in Indianapolis while concurrently serving as assistant counsel to the Indiana State Senate. Ed previously served as an attorney in private practice focusing on estate planning, probate, real estate, and family law matters. He joined the Indianapolis Zoo in 2002. In addition to serving on the CGP board, he is a member and former president of the Charitable Gift Planners of Indiana and also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Indiana Chapter. Ed received his B.A. from Indiana University and his J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
