Webinar Host, Donald Kent, Principal and Financial Advisor: For 33 years, Don has worked with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their advisors. Initially, he focused on charitable gift planning and helping philanthropists understand and take advantage of the many strategies that are available to leverage one’s generosity in the most tax-efficient ways. Since joining Bernstein in 2000, Don’s focus has been on clients’ overall financial goals and concerns, helping them develop comprehensive plans to manage their wealth, wisely deploy it, and determine its ultimate disposition and impact.

Panelist, Emily R. Neubert, CFP® Director of Family Governance—Wealth Strategies Group: Emily works closely with high-net-worth families, family offices, foundations and endowments, and their professional advisors on a variety of complex investment planning issues, including pre-transaction planning, multigenerational wealth transfer, and philanthropy. She is also a member of the Family Engagement team, which helps families explore the transfer of wealth-related values and knowledge. Her primary responsibility is leading Bernstein’s Family Governance efforts and authoring Bernstein’s research on Family Governance. She joined Bernstein in 2012 as a private client associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. In 2015, she joined the Wealth Strategies Group. Later in 2015, Emily relocated to the Denver office. Prior to joining the firm, she spent seven years in the Financial Services industry at JPMorgan Securities and also at UBS. Emily earned her BS in economics from Pennsylvania State University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, holds certificates from the Family Firm Institute (FFI) in Family Business Advising (CFBA) and Family Wealth Advising (CFWA), and is a 21/64 Certified Advisor.

Panelist, Jennifer Ostberg CFP® Director of Personal Philanthropy: Throughout her 13 years at Bernstein, Jennifer has been working with high-net worth individuals and families and their trusted advisors. She helps lead the Bernstein Philanthropy Institute and is responsible for providing investment advice and solutions to philanthropic individuals and next-generation wealth owners. She is also a member of the Family Engagement Services team, which helps families explore the transfer of wealth-related values and knowledge. She is a CFP® and a 21/64 certified advisor.
